THIS SUNDAY AT 4 PM: RSVP

NETTA FEI IS BRINGING HER FATHER’S WISDOM TO YOU BE YOU LIVE

Some people leave behind memories. Some people leave behind a map.

Netta Fei’s father passed about a month before his 90th birthday, after pastoring for nearly 50 years and leading an association of 30 churches for almost 30 years. But what stands out most is not the résumé. It’s the heart behind it. She says he loved to speak truth, loved to elevate people, and if he could say something to help you, he would, and it was his joy to do it.

That kind of man does not just raise a family. He raises a standard.

WHAT THE BOOK IS, AND WHY IT HITS DIFFERENT Netta has taken 42 truths her father taught her and turned them into a book called The Book of Burnett. And she is crystal clear about something that matters: these were his words, not hers. The book is “as told by Netta Fei,” because she is stewarding his lived wisdom, not rewriting it.

She describes it as wisdom that came with bruises. The kind you earn while raising a family, leading a congregation, and leading people where they do not want to go. If you have ever been responsible for people, you already know exactly what she means.

This book is not theory. It is a lifetime of truth with the fluff burned off.

THE POINT IS NOT JUST INSPIRATION, IT IS SAVING YOU Netta said something that made me sit up straighter: she is sharing this so you do not have to go through what he went through to learn it.

Read that again.

Time, money, effort, anger, headache, detours. That is what lived wisdom can spare you, if you allow it. The book is a signal in a noisy world, a way to discern direction instead of getting hypnotized by distraction. This is about owning the choices you make every day toward who you want to be, where you want to go, and what you want to do.

No spectators. No excuses. No outsourcing your life.

SOUL EXPANSION, WITH YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND Netta connected truth and lived wisdom to something I talk about a lot: soul expansion.

When you stand on truth, trust yourself, and draw from lived wisdom, you stop wasting time relearning painful lessons. You gain courage. You act on that embodied yes. You expand your territory and you live life with gusto because you are no longer asking permission from the noise.

Then she said the line that made me laugh because it is too real: when we get older, we burn off a lot of crap. Especially after 40. The low value crap. The stuff we carried because we thought we had to. That is what frees us up to take in the good stuff.

That is the work. Put it down. Pick up what matters.

THE TRUTH I WANT YOU TO HEAR BEFORE SUNDAY One of her father’s core phrases was this: “Nothing be a failure but a try.” That is not a motivational poster. That is a life philosophy that shuts down fear at the knees.

If you do not try, you already failed. You already lost. You did not even give yourself an opportunity. And when you take that truth seriously, you start to disregard what other people say, not in a reckless way, but in a grounded way. You step into the water and you try.

With wisdom. With consciousness. With thought. But you still try.

THIS SUNDAY, WE ARE GOING THERE Netta Fei is coming on my show this Sunday at 4 p.m., and we are going to talk about her father’s legacy, the 42 truths inside The Book of Burnett, and what it looks like to live with clarity when the world is loud.

If you are rebuilding. If you are discerning. If you are over 40 and finally allergic to nonsense. If you are ready to act on the thing pulling you. This conversation is for you.

Come live. Come with your questions. Come ready to be elevated.

Thanks for reading, William Rochelle, but you can call me Bill.
