STOP LETTING PEOPLE CONFUSE CONTROL WITH POWER—OWN YOURS AND NEVER LOOK BACK
Let’s get one thing straight—control is not power.
Control is manipulation. Control is fear-based. Control is external. It relies on forcing, coercing, deceiving, or intimidating others into submission. But power? Power is internal. It’s earned. It’s built. It’s divine. And it’s yours.
But here’s the catch—people will try to take it from you.
They’ll question your decisions. Diminish your light. Pretend you don’t know what you’re doing. They’ll try to make you forget who you are. Why? Because once you know you have power, you can no longer be manipulated. You become dangerous to their illusion of control.
So listen to me clearly: Never give up your power.
What Is Power?
Power is your choice. Every single moment in life, you have a choice. That choice is your power. Even if you don’t like your options, the ability to choose is your weapon.
Power is the energy you allow in. The vibes, the words, the influence—you are the gatekeeper. You get to say “yes” to love, support, truth, and belief. You get to say “no” to doubt, drama, and fear.
Power is the tribe you build. Not everyone should have access to your light. Protect your circle like a sacred temple. Surround yourself with people who lift, not leech.
Power is your focus. When you stop scrolling and start building. When you stop complaining and start climbing. When you go all-in on your dream, unapologetically.
Power is your divine assignment. God placed something inside of you that nobody else has. It’s not random. It’s not small. And it’s not transferable. It’s yours. That’s your superpower.
When You Give Up Your Power, You Become a Victim
Now hear me on this—being a victim doesn’t always look like trauma or abuse.
Sometimes being a victim means:
Staying in a job you hate because you don’t believe you’re good enough to leave.
Staying in a relationship that drains you because you’re scared to be alone.
Staying stuck in fear, anxiety, or depression because everyone around you said “you can’t.”
Victimhood is when you believe the lie that someone else gets to decide your fate.
But you don’t have to stay there.
You Have The Power to Change Everything
You may not change it overnight. You may cry. You may have to walk away from things—temporarily or permanently—to get there. But your power comes with clarity, not comfort.
Some things you’ll have to drop to fly. Some people you’ll have to outgrow to glow. Some dreams you’ll have to resurrect from the grave you buried them in.
And yes—it may hurt. But you are not meant to crawl when you were built to soar.
The Chain or the Sky—You Choose
You can’t fly if there’s a chain around your ankle.
That chain might be doubt. That chain might be people-pleasing. That chain might be the fake image you’re keeping up. That chain might be fear.
Break the chain.
You are more powerful than you’ve been acting. You are more powerful than people want you to believe. You are more powerful than your circumstances suggest.
So the real question is:
With all that power… what are you going to do with it?
Because you get to decide.
Choose to believe. Choose to act. Choose to rise.
