My Intentions For This Week. Tell us yours.

Intentions are the rhythm that guide our steps towards fulfillment and connection. This week, I embark on a journey to tune my own frequency and, in turn, harmonize with the world around me. It begins with a mirror - the one we face every morning - and extends outwards to the canvas of humanity we encounter daily.

Let's dive into the four intentions I’ve set for myself:

Inspire Myself

The quest for inspiration is akin to a treasure hunt, where X marks every spot. A brisk wind that orchestrates a leafy symphony at dusk, or the graceful palm trees swaying to an unseen melody, sparks a light within me. Equally inspiring is witnessing the selfless love of a young caregiver for their elderly grandparent. These moments, big and small, fan the flames of inspiration, reminding me that the world is a well of wonder.

Inspire Others

How do we pass the torch of inspiration? By simply being the spark in someone else’s dark. Share stories that uplift, engage in acts of kindness that speak volumes, or offer a smile that might be the only sunshine someone sees. Let’s be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people.

Motivate Myself

Motivation is the fuel that drives the engine of our dreams. It's found in setting micro-goals, celebrating the tiny victories, and pushing through the 'meh' days. Whether it's ticking off that small task on my to-do list or choosing to take the stairs instead of the elevator, every step counts towards climbing my mountain of aspirations.

Motivate Others

In lighting our own fire, we can become a beacon for others. Encouragement is a powerful motivator; it's in the 'you can do it' and the 'I believe in you' that we often say to others. But let's not forget the silent power of leading by example – the ripples of our actions can turn into waves for someone else’s journey.

Believe in Myself

Belief is the quiet confidence that whispers, "I am capable." It's looking in the mirror and recognizing the potential that resides within. This week, I stand tall in my strengths and embrace my weaknesses with compassion, knowing that both are integral to who I am.

Believe in Others

When we extend our belief to others, we empower them. It's in the faith we place in our peers, friends, and even strangers that we nurture a garden of potential. Let's be each other's cheerleaders, celebrating every leap and not just the landing.

Trust Myself

Trust is the foundation upon which all intentions are built. This week, it’s about trusting my gut, honoring my values, and keeping the promises I make to myself. Trust is a self-embrace, acknowledging that I know what’s best for me.

Build Trust with Others

And as we trust ourselves, we learn to build bridges of trust with others. It’s in the reliability, the consistency, and the vulnerability we share. Trust is the glue in relationships and the safety net that encourages us to lean into interdependence.

This is my list – a mosaic of introspection and outreach. Now, it's your turn. What are your intentions? By beginning each week intentionally, and always starting with yourself, you set the groundwork for a life lived with purpose and shared with generosity.

Here’s to an amazing week, where the reflection in the mirror smiles back not just at you, but at the world it reflects.
