This Is Not a Comfortable Season
We woke up today and nothing feels normal. Global tension is escalating and we are now staring at the reality of open conflict with Iran. Headlines are heavier. Uncertainty is thicker. The world is moving while most people are still pouring their coffee.
That dissonance is the point. “Normal” is dissolving in real time. Economies shift overnight. Industries reprice risk. The ground moves under our routines.
I am in a transition season professionally. There is no elegant way to phrase that.
I wake up with clarity and urgency at the same time. Clarity about what I bring. Urgency about where I want to bring it. Some days feel productive. Some days feel long. All of them are instructive.
Experience at scale teaches you something most people never have to practice. You do not forget how to operate. You learn what steadiness actually means when you are not holding a formal title.
This season has stripped away external validation. No standing meetings. No dashboards delivered automatically. No formal authority attached to my name.
What remains is capability. Pattern recognition in chaos. Operational discipline when signals are mixed. Strategic clarity when emotion is loud. The ability to sit in ambiguity without panicking.
When the world shifts, those skills become more valuable, not less. When geopolitical tension rises, supply chains strain. When markets wobble, customer expectations tighten. When uncertainty expands, leadership either contracts or sharpens.
This is not a comfortable season globally. It is not a comfortable season personally. Comfort is not the assignment right now. Precision is.
I am using this season deliberately. I’m studying where the market is moving in real time. I’m refining how I describe the value I create so it connects to today’s pressure points, not yesterday’s stability. I’m strengthening fluency in evolving tools and recalibrating my language to match a faster operating environment.
Conflict and transition share the same lesson. They expose fragility. They reward clarity. They punish complacency.
To founders and CEOs, this is the leadership filter. The person who stays calm while the world shifts is the one you want in the room when decisions carry consequence.
To professionals in transition, composure is not denial. It’s strength under construction. No one needs to pretend this is easy. Everyone needs to decide who they are going to be inside of it.
Nothing we knew as normal is normal. That is not a reason to freeze. It is a call for sharper thinking.
The title will come. The stability will return. The question is what deepened while the ground was moving.
What are you strengthening in this season that will compound when the world steadies again?
