WHERE ARE OUR PRIORITIES?
We keep finding money for war, bailouts, and vanity projects while Americans are losing jobs, homes, food assistance, and healthcare.
What the hell are we doing? Are you as concerned as I am? Something is deeply wrong when our government can find billions for war and political spectacles but cannot find enough money to help Americans survive.
FOLLOW THE MONEY
Here is the clearest picture using only a few of the largest known or projected expenses:
The Iran war has led the Pentagon to seek approximately $80 billion in additional funding.
The farmer bailout will cost approximately $12 billion after tariffs and trade fights damaged agricultural markets.
The White House ballroom and East Wing project is now projected to cost approximately $600 million, even though the public was originally told taxpayers would not pay for it.
That partial total comes to approximately $92.6 billion.
That number does not include the Venezuela operation, the Qatari jet conversion, the Reflecting Pool failure, the military parade, the UFC event, the proposed racetrack, or the full cost of security surrounding these events.
The real total is clearly higher.
WHAT COULD THAT MONEY DO?
It could fund approximately 91 percent of the entire SNAP program for one year, based on the program’s $101.7 billion cost in 2025.
It could preserve enhanced Affordable Care Act assistance for almost three full years, based on the estimated $31 billion annual cost.
It could help millions of Americans afford food, medical coverage, prescriptions, housing, disability services, and education.
Instead we created a tariff fight that hurt farmers and then charged taxpayers billions to rescue them.
Instead we started wars and then acted surprised when the bill arrived.
Instead we demolished part of the White House for a ballroom that most Americans never requested.
Instead we keep funding spectacles while ordinary people are being told to tighten their belts.
WHO APPROVED THIS?
Congress approved much of this spending.
The administration requested much of this spending.
The American people will be expected to pay for it.
That is the simple answer.
AMERICANS ARE STRUGGLING
American household debt has reached approximately $18.8 trillion, including about $1.25 trillion in credit-card balances.
More than four hundred thousand job cuts were announced during the first half of 2026.
Nearly one hundred nineteen thousand properties received foreclosure filings during the first quarter of 2026, which was 26 percent higher than the previous year.
These are not numbers on a television screen.
These are families losing income, homes, healthcare, and hope.
HOW DEEP IS THE HOLE?
The national debt has already passed $39 trillion, which is the highest amount ever recorded.
The federal government borrowed another $1.4 trillion during the first nine months of this fiscal year alone.
How do we climb out of that hole while continuing to spend money this way?
We certainly cannot fix it by cutting food and healthcare while increasing spending on wars, bailouts, ballrooms, parades, and political entertainment.
Nothing gets fixed when the government creates a problem and then spends billions pretending to solve it.
WHERE ARE OUR PRIORITIES?
We chose war over affordable healthcare.
We chose damage control over preventing damage.
We chose spectacle over helping families survive.
We chose political vanity over financial responsibility.
America is not broke.
America is choosing who deserves help.
That should concern every Democrat, Republican, independent, and American who still believes government should serve the people.
It concerns me because none of this is normal, responsible, or right.
The money exists.
The priorities do not.
