I have a question for you, for me, for us. It’s not the kind of question you toss out lightly—it’s one that demands your full attention, a question that shakes you to your core and makes you pause, even if just for a moment. This question isn’t for me; it’s for us. It’s for the person who’s out there right now, feeling the weight of the world pressing down on their shoulders. Life is happening in all its chaotic glory, and they’re standing at the edge, teetering, feeling like everything they reach for is just out of grasp.
So, I ask: Where do you find your strength when everything seems unobtainable? What’s that thing, that anchor, that pulls you through to the next decision? Is it prayer? Meditation? A deep, unshakable belief that something greater than you exists? How do you reset your energy when the negativity starts to creep in, threatening to swallow you whole? We’ve all been there, haven’t we? It’s easy to offer advice to someone else, to be the strong one when it’s their life unraveling. But when it’s your own? That’s when the true test begins.
Don’t shy away from it—admit it. Someone out there needs to hear this, and they need to know that they’re not alone. My go-to? It’s simple, really. I sit down and write. I pour my thoughts onto the page, raw and unfiltered. There’s something magical about that first draft, as rough and jagged as it may be. It’s like a mirror, reflecting back to me the pulse of my soul. As I read it, I gain a new perspective—suddenly, I can see where I’m stumbling, where fear has taken hold, where my ego is leading me astray. Sometimes, though, I read it and think, “This is exactly how I feel, and damn it, I’m going to own it.”
So, where’s your safe place? Where do you draw your strength from when it feels like you’re standing on shifting sand? Share your truth with us. Because here’s the thing—I don’t always know my own strength. But what I do know is that I’ve never fallen, not really. I might stumble, I might trip, but I always get back up. My steps are guided, even when I don’t realize it. And when I climb out of that ditch, bruised and battered, I’m always amazed at the resilience I didn’t even know I had.
We don’t always recognize our strength, do we? It’s often hidden, buried deep beneath layers of self-doubt and fear. But it’s there, waiting to be unleashed. So, let’s stop pretending we have it all figured out. Let’s embrace the chaos, the uncertainty, the fear. Because it’s in those moments of tension that we discover who we really are. It’s in those moments that we find our strength.
I don’t know my own strength, but I do know this: I continue to thrive. I continue to rise. And so do you. Ambition, belief with intention, living with integrity—these aren’t just words; they’re the pillars that hold us up when everything else feels like it’s crumbling. Treat everyone with grace and respect, and be grateful for what you have, right here, right now.
So, I’ll ask you again—where do you find your strength in moments of tension? Share it, own it, and let’s grow together. Because this journey? It’s ours, and it’s only just beginning.
