We can be the first airmen, soaring through skies they said we’d never touch. We can be the warriors, the decorated soldiers, the fearless ones who fought for a nation that doubted our worth. We can be the wings of Tuskegee, cutting through clouds with skill and precision, proving that greatness is not defined by the color of our skin but by the fire in our souls.

We can be Frederick Douglass, seated high with wisdom, his words shaking the foundation of injustice. We can be the voice that won’t be silenced, the mind that won’t be shackled, the force that bends history toward justice. "If there is no struggle, there is no progress." He knew then what we know now—that the weight of oppression only strengthens the spirit of those determined to rise.

We can be the first Black president, Barack Obama, standing on the steps of possibility, turning hope into yes, we did. We can be the vice president, Kamala Harris, the woman they swore would never make it, standing tall with history beneath her heels and the future in her hands.

We can be the CEO, the innovator, the billionaire who turns dreams into empires. We can be the light in motion, the vision in action, the unstoppable force that rewrites the rules.

We can be all these things—while they tell us we can’t.

With a knee on our backs, we can rise. With a foot on our heads, we can push forward. With Tulsa in ashes behind us, we can build anew. With laws against us, we can change them. With systems built to break us, we can break them. We can defy every no, every locked door, every whispered doubt designed to keep us small.

We did it before. We are doing it now. We will do it again.

So imagine what you can be—if you believe in yourself more than they believe in your failure. If you rise despite the weight. If you walk through the fire, untouched by the flames.

We can be anything. And we will.
