Some days are for catching up. Today is for coming back to myself. The last few weeks have been hectic, not the kind of hectic you can laugh off with a deep breath and a quote, but the kind that makes time feel sharp and turns simple things into decisions. It quietly drains you while you’re still trying to show up like nothing is happening. So today, I’m not performing strength. I’m practicing it.
THE RECLAIM
Sacred Saturday is the moment I stop leaking energy into everything that wants a piece of me. Not with anger, not with attitude, but with intention. I reclaim my energy the way you reclaim a house after a storm. You do not stand outside explaining the damage. You walk in, assess the truth, and start restoring what matters.
THE FOCUS
Today, I concentrate solely on my job search. Not as panic. Not as desperation. As purpose. I’m building a future with both hands, one application at a time, one outreach at a time, one clear decision at a time. I’m not chasing noise. I’m moving toward alignment.
JOY ON PURPOSE
Today, I also concentrate on the things that bring me joy, because joy is not a reward. Joy is fuel. Joy is proof I’m still here, still capable of light, still able to feel something other than pressure. If I can find one clean moment of laughter, one calming song, one quiet win, I treat it like medicine.
GRATITUDE THAT REWIRES ME
I’m choosing gratitude, the real kind. Not the polite kind. Not the kind you post to sound okay. The kind that rewires your brain when life has been trying to program you into survival mode. Gratitude doesn’t erase the hard parts. It just reminds me the hard parts don’t get to write the whole story.
DO NOT DISTURB, NOT DISRESPECT
My phone is still on, but it’s on Do Not Disturb. Not because I’m mad. Not because I’m angry. It’s because once you answer the phone, now you have to speak, and today I don’t want conversations unless they come with lollipops and rainbows. Some people will understand that instantly. Others will call it distance, coldness, or change. But it’s none of that. It’s boundaries with a pulse.
THE MESSY PARTS STILL COUNT
I’m not pretending the messy parts aren’t here. They are. They’ve been here. But I’m learning something that’s saving me in real time. You can acknowledge the mess without moving in. You can honor what hurt you without handing it the keys.
WHAT I WANT FOR YOU
I wish you all the best, genuinely. If your life has been heavy lately, I hope you get one day, one hour, one moment where you feel yourself return. Where the noise fades, your nervous system unclenches, and hope starts acting like it lives there again. Things do get better, and the messy parts are real too. We acknowledge them, and then we keep moving.
My name is William Rochelle, but you can call me Bill.
