It is about something harder than that. It is about standing beside people who are already doing the work, and deciding that their story deserves your full presence.

We are gathering tonight for HR-4U and Transformation Kitchen. But if I am being honest with you, this night is really about something most people never say out loud: at some point in your life, you needed someone to believe in you before you could believe in yourself again. Tonight, we return that favor.

Transformation Kitchen is built on one stubborn idea: people are not disposable. Not the ones who experienced homelessness. Not the ones who came out of incarceration. Not the ones who fought addiction, or hunger, or years of instability. When you give people structure, real skill-building, mentorship, and genuine opportunity, something shifts. They rise. Families stabilize. Communities begin to heal in ways that outlast any single event.

"This is not charity. This is community deciding it owes something to itself."

There is a difference between saving someone and standing with them. Saving can make us feel powerful. Standing makes us responsible. Transformation Kitchen is not asking anyone to look down at the people in its program. It is inviting us to stand beside people who are already ready. Ready to rebuild. Ready to learn and work and heal and become who they were always capable of being.

That is the kind of movement I want to belong to.

Tonight I am going to dance live with Nicole Angai-Galindo , and I want to be clear about what that means. It is not entertainment filler. It is not a gimmick. Joy belongs in this movement. You cannot talk about transformation and leave out celebration. You cannot build something real and forget that sometimes the body needs to move before the heart remembers it is free.

The dance is a declaration. Life still moves. Hope still has rhythm. Even after hardship, the human spirit can rise, breathe, laugh, and begin again.

So here is what I am asking. Come with your heart open. Bring your energy and your willingness to support something that outlives one night, one room, one speech, one fundraiser. When one person rises, a family feels it. When a family stabilizes, a community feels it. When a community heals, the future feels it.

Chason Forehand Tonight, we gather. We give. We move. We help build a kitchen where lives can start over.

This is bigger than any one person. That is exactly why it needs all of us.

William Rochelle. You can call me Bill.
