I Woke Up With Joy Today

This morning hit different. I opened my eyes and joy was already in the room, sitting there like it had been waiting on me. The light looked brighter. The coffee tasted better. Even my to-do list looked less like a chore and more like an invitation.

You know that feeling when something inside you finally settles? When the weight you have been carrying quietly slips off your shoulders and you can stand up straight again? That is the kind of morning this is. I am not tired today. I am lit up.

So let me say it loud, because I have earned the right to. I wrote a book. I am a published author. A first-time author. Me. The guy who carried this story around for years, talked to it, argued with it, lost sleep over it, and finally set it free into the world.

Say it with me. Published. Author. It still does not feel fully real when I type it, and that is exactly why I keep typing it.

Now real talk, because you know I keep it honest. I did not sit down to write you a commercial this morning. I am still dropping the link at the bottom though, so do not act surprised. I wrote it, I am proud of it, and I do not have a big funding machine behind me. So for the next 2 weeks the link is going in everything I publish. Clap for me. I will clap right back twice as loud.

What I actually want to give you this morning is the feeling. That feeling you get after you finally do the thing you used to only whisper about in the dark. The private dream becomes public proof. The whole world keeps spinning, but something inside you has shifted for good, and nobody can take that back.

I have been up. I have been all the way down. I have woken up on mornings where the mountain looked too tall, too wide, too personal to ever move. You know those mornings. The ones where the obstacle feels like it has your name carved into it.

Then this morning the mountain did something it had never done before. It moved. It just moved, and I walked right through the middle of it with my head up.

So here is what I want to hand you on this Monday. Take whatever is standing in your way and put it to work for you. Take the obstacle and make it the opportunity. Take the delay and turn it into development. The thing you swear is blocking you might be the very thing building you.

I stopped chasing only the dollar and started honoring the purpose underneath it. Let us be grown about it. The dollar matters. Bills do not pay themselves and groceries are acting like they graduated from private school. But purpose gives the dollar somewhere to go. It gives the work a soul. When you know your why, you stop moving like somebody trying to get picked and start moving like somebody who already has the goods.

I build. That is what I do. I build in the good times. I build in the broke times. I build when I have every tool laid out neat on the table, and I build when all I have is duct tape, a half charged phone, and a prayer with weak wifi. You do not wait for perfect conditions to start. You start, and the work shows you the next step. That is how a dream becomes a project, a project becomes a product, and a product becomes a purpose.

Here is the part the machines will never touch. They are out here building bots that copy patterns faster than any of us could dream. They cannot copy your voice. Your scars. Your lived experience. The way you survive. The way you show up for people. That is your power, and Monday is a beautiful day to use it.

The book is The Bogeyman Was Built: How America Manufactured a Monster, and the People Who Refused to Become It, Volume One. Available now on Amazon. It lays the foundation. My story, which is honestly our story. How we got here. What we carried. What we were taught to fear. What we are finally brave enough to face.

You can purchase it on Amazon here: https://a.co/d/0bIJOLni

So get up. Pour the coffee. Open the laptop. Make the call. Keep creating, keep building, keep showing up. The mountain might look impossible today. Tomorrow it may move. When it does, walk through with your head high, because you earned that passage.

Let's go get this Monday. I am rooting for you out loud.

Thanks for reading,

William Rochelle, but you can call me Bill.
